Membership/Events Coordinator
The membership and events coordinator will work hand in hand with the events and membership department for various clients.
As part of the support Team, you will participate in all aspects of the clients day-to-day operations in the following areas:
Membership:
All aspects of member development and management including:
- Assisting potential members to complete transactions of new memberships/renewals
- Providing exceptional customer service to members
- Reporting of membership statistical data
- Management of membership renewals notices and reminders
- Scheduling of social media/email broadcasts
- Onboarding new members, process membership applications
- Database entry and data management
Events
Working with the Events Department you will work with the events team on supporting our clients in all aspects of event planning including:
- Setting up registration forms and “owning” the registration lifecycle from concept to final payments
- Providing exceptional customer service to registrants
- Acting as lead technician for virtual meetings and Webinars (hosted in Zoom)
- Planning and facilitating logistics for events, including badge compilation, coordination of signage and marketing materials, entertainment, onsite execution, etc.
- Source suppliers and negotiate best value for the client.
- Meeting deadlines
- Working within clients budgets
- Maintaining event database and preparing statistical reports.
- Organize and attend event planning meetings, taking minutes etc.
- Completing Other tasks as required for the successful delivery of all client events.
Must be proficient in digital event platforms. (Zoom, Teams, Pheedloop etc.).
Qualifications:
- Minimum of five years of experience in administration/operations in the non-profit sector
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a volunteer Board of Directors, staff and external stakeholders
- Well organized, ability to multi-task and work effectively as part of a team or independently
- Proficiency in Windows based software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Database Management)
Special Conditions:
- Class “G” Driver’s license and reliable vehicle for use on Association business
- Support with other duties as assigned.
- Evening and weekend work as well as travel across Canada will be required.
Salary/Benefits
This is a full-time position has a salary range of $45-$50,000 per year, based on experience.
