Bookkeeper/ Accounting Clerk
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to manage our clients' financial records. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate recording of transactions, maintain financial data, and support the company's accounting processes. You will work with multiple not-for-profit clients and need to have the ability to work with all levels of management thoughout the organization as well as external stakeholders. You should have a financial aptitude and the ability to prioritize workload with exceptional organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record daily financial transactions, including income and expenses
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Prepare financial reports and summaries
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies
- Support audit preparations and internal financial reviews
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of accounting software (Adagio)
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and procedures
- Ability to handle sensitive financial information with integrity
- Strong communication and time-management skills
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in accounting or bookkeeping preferred
Work Environment:
- This position is mainly remote with some on-site depending on company needs.
